An article in Time Magazine titled, "How much for a room at earths first space hotel." It states that the Russians are putting a space hotel in orbit around earth, space enthusiasts unite, this is your dream come true. If you are a millionaire maybe, if not keep dreaming.
This is a little on the ridiculous side of insane, who pays almost a million dollars just to sleep in orbit around the earth for five days? However upon further reading if I was a millionaire I just might have to try it out for myself the idea is very intriguing. Who doesn't want a different view of the world we live on.
Yes the price tag sounds a little excessive, but you get 16 sunsets and sunrises, gourmet food with earth as a backdrop,and the opportunity to sleep in a bag on the wall, you can't do that here on earth. So to some it will be worth the hefty price tag.
Its too bad we will have to wait on this new and exciting prospect for at least 5 years, but hey all things good are worth waiting for right?
I have to say that I love this post. While it is a hefty price tag, I still think it would be one unforgetable trip. It is crazy to think that you could literally wake up on the other side of the world. I find outter space fascinating and I think that being able to go on an adventure like this would be just amazing.
