Boy or Girl?

An 8 year old boy in California has decided that he is an 8 year old girl. He and his lesbian parents have put him on hormone blockers so that he has time to decide if this is truly what he wants. Is it right tho? He has normal grown up brothers who are not interested in being women, but does his lesbian mothers have any impact on his decision? Transgender modification is easier to do when the person is young that way they don't have to go through puberty. They won't get the big shoulders or the deep voice they just stay slight. He when given a choice chooses the girly things like headbands and dresses. The doctors say this is normal for a young transgender child to do, but is it right?

Transgender modification is a conterversial thing in its self but to do this to a young child that has yet to be able to fully understand the implications of his actions, that is a whole other story. I think that the choice to be a transgender is up to the person making the choice, but I don't agree with a child being given the choice at such a young age. Has he really been able to see the world and walk in the shoes of a women? Has he ever had a male influence that could possibly make a difference in the way he views himself? I don't think this boy has had a chance from the beginning. I am not against homosexuals or anything that is considered a page of it in any way.  I think that it should be the right of the person to make their own decisions. I am just not sure that a boy of 8 years should be offered this possibility.
Maybe in the minds of the parents they think that if this is the way he is always going to be they can make it easier to be himself by blocking his hormones allowing him to forgo puberty so that him being a women will not be so hard on him. I am a grown adult and I am not even sure what I want sometimes, but ultimatly it is the parents and the doctors decision. I just don't have to agree with it.
