The Guinness Book of World Records has yet another competition going on, women competing to be the "World's Heaviest Women", two women who are wanting to make their mark on the world the best way they know how. Guinness says the spot is open and they are researching all claims and they hope to have a new title holder very soon. The current record holder for the "World's Fattest Mom" is reluctant to let go of her title, even tho she says she is going on a diet.
I just thought that this article was a little weird, in this day and age where beauty is measured in the opposite direction of weight, (meaning less is more) these women are wanting to compete over who can be the biggest?
That is kind of off the wall, the health risks alone should make these women rethink their position. I understand that Simpsons weight is not causing adverse affects to her weight right now, however who knows what will happen in the long run. Is this really a message we want to send our children, in order to be seen as special or successful you have to go to extremes? I personally don't want my daughter to look at life and see it the way these women do.
